Worship Arts at Apex UMC

Worship art ministries enable all persons to experience the presence of God through congregational singing and the inspiration of choral and instrumental music. Participants in the choral, handbell, praise band, and other instrumental ensembles will find opportunities for spiritual growth, Christian fellowship, and development of music skills. Worship arts at Apex UMC includes choir for all ages. Participation is open to all who are willing to invest their time and talents in this ministry.

We have many opportunities for instrumentalists to participate in worship leadership. Strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion are needed to accompany choral anthems and play for seasonal services around Christmas and Easter. If you would be willing to share your gifts, please contact Todd Arant.

We have many ways to be involved with contemporary worship. We are always looking for singers and musicians and folks interested in the tech side of things. We can even provide training! Whether serving on stage or behind the scenes we are one big team that has a lot of fun doing what we do! Please email Kevin Thompson to find out more.

Children & Youth

3 and 4-year-olds

Children who attend Sunday School at the 9:35 a.m. hour participate in Sonshine Singers as part of their time together. Preschoolers sing, move, and praise God through fun and energetic music that teaches them about God’s love. The Sonshine Singers also lead in worship on occasion.

Director: Cathy Turner

K-1st Grade Choir

Youth Praise Band is a great way to get involved with contemporary worship. Most of our songs center around instruments such as voice, drums, guitars, and keyboards, but we strive to incorporate other instruments too. We also provide training for those that want to be involved on the tech side of things. We have a lot of fun at rehearsals and regularly lead worship at youth events.
