Feed The Kids

Since 2013, the mission of Feed the Kids has addressed food insecurity in our local schools. Last year, the program served 11 local schools providing weekend meal bags for over 200 kids each week. Since its beginning, Feed the Kids has delivered over 69,000 bags of food worth over $300,000 for children in need.

If you consider that many of our own children at Apex UMC attend these schools, you can easily understand the impact FTK continues to have on families at Apex Elementary, Apex Middle, Baucom Elementary, Carpenter Elementary, Green Hope Elementary, Moncure Elementary, Olive Chapel Elementary, Peak Beginnings Preschool, Penny Road Elementary, Salem Elementary, and Scotts Ridge Elementary. There are multiple ways you can participate in FTK and DONATIONS are always welcome.

We will be having an FTK Back to School Food Drive on Sunday, September 15 and are always in need of the following items:

Canned Meat (Chicken or Tuna)

Individual Pre-Packaged Fruit

Single Serving Breakfast (Grits, Oatmeal, Cereal)

Ramen

Macaroni and Cheese 

Canned Soup

Rice (1 pound box/package)

Individually Wrapped Snacks 

Pasta (1 pound box/package)

Canned Pasta Sauce 

Canned Vegetables 

Canned Beans 

Peanut Butter (plastic jars only)

**BOLD items are most needed

You can donate at any time by bringing your food donations to the church and deposit them in the FTK cart located near the Crossroads and CLC entrance. Of course, financial gifts are always welcomed! For more information on Feed the Kids, please visit our website at www.feedthekidsnc.org.
