Audio Visual Technician

Job Summary –
The Audio Visual Technician oversees the audio/visual components of worship for Apex UMC. 

Reports to: Dir. of Cont. Wor. & Dig. Media
Hours Per Week: 5, including Sunday AM
Supervises: N/A
Status:Part-time
FLSA: Hourly

 

Essential Functions and Duties – 

  • Partner with the Livestream Tech to ensure the livestream worship experience is high quality and engaging.
  • Be present and engaged in all Sunday morning worship services to oversee use of the equipment and ensure a quality worship experience.
  • Provide Sunday morning A/V troubleshooting and help when needed in other ministry areas (example: children’s Sunday School).
  • Provide A/V support at funerals and special worship services (example: Christmas Eve).
  • Manage and maintain A/V equipment.
  • Support, train, and oversee A/V volunteers.
  • Serve as the staff liaison for the Audio/Visual Tech team.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Minimum Qualifications – 

  • Minimum of 3-years relevant work experience. 
  • Experience operating audio/visual and livestreaming equipment.

Physical Requirements – 

  • This position may require kneeling, squatting, and lifting heavy equipment.
  • This position may require standing for an extended period of time and moving filming and recording equipment as needed.
