- Easter Flowers:
We are doing something different this year for our worship flowers: we will have a mixture of lilies and spring flowers, most of which will be planted on the church property after Easter. If you would like to order flowers to place in the sanctuary or CLC in honor or memory of loved ones, we will take orders through Easter Sunday. Dedications received prior to Easter will be in the bulletin Easter weekend; those received after will be in the bulletin the following weekend. Plants are $16.50. Please bring payment to the church office and leave your name, phone number and dedication for the bulletin.

- Eat Out to Stop Hunger Now!
Schlotzsky's has generously offered to help us raise money to cover some of the cost of the Stop Hunger Now district-wide youth event on Apr. 27 at AUMC. We hope to package 20,000 meals, which will cost $5,000. If you take your current bulletin and eat at Schlotzsky's, they will donate 20% of your purchase price to the church. Take a night off from cooking and help feed others!
- Join Cub Scout Pack 226:
Pack 226, chartered by the Apex Family of Faith Communities, will host an fun afternoon of activities for rising 1st-4th grade boys on Saturday, Apr. 19, from 2:30-5 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. - Men’s Fish Camp to Durham Bulls:
The Men's Fish Camp Group is sponsoring a family outing to the Durham Bulls game on Saturday, Apr. 26. This is Faith and Family Day at the ballpark and there will be a performance by a Christian worship group along with testimonies. Gates open at 2:30 p.m., and the game begins at 5:05 p.m. Cost is $12 per ticket, which includes a donation to the Food Pantry. The House Your Neighbor 5K is hosted by the NC State University chapter of Habitat for Humanity and benefits the Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. Register online.
- UMCOR Tornado Relief:
The tornadoes that hit eastern N.C. last week dramatically impacted the town of Belhaven and the surrounding parts of Beaufort and Hyde Counties. If you would like to help, please make a gift to the church and mark it “NC Tornado Relief;” 100% of donations to UMCOR go directly to aid relief efforts.

- Church Bus/Rental Van Training Sessions: May 8 and May 22, 6:30 p.m., DC 407
Our youth and senior adults are always in need of drivers for the church buses and any trips that require the use of rental vans. Drivers must go through a trustees-approved training class which takes about two hours. - Relay For Life of Cary/Apex/Morrisville:
Apex UMC will have a team participating in the Cary/Apex/Morrisville Relay for Life event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. - Threshold ARTS Ministry:
We invite you to come experience the words and art of Shelley Lakes. Shelley came to the first Threshold Arts gathering at AUMC last summer and has been an active participant ever since. She is a blessing and inspiration to many with her strong faith, authentic writing and bold creativity. God is speaking through her words and images, and we can gain much from this testimony of faith. The Threshold ARTS Ministry is called to establish a space for creativity, prayer and spiritual growth. It is a place for fellowship and support for the people and their creative gifts, becoming a community resource for art and faith collaborations.
